CORE VALUES

VISION for LEARNERS

CORE VALUE: Addressing the needs of the whole child and building relational capacity through the integration of academics and extra-curricular exploration that focuses on collaboration, creative problem solving, and character building.

Building relational capacity is important for the learners. It is increasingly important that we focus on collaboration and learning from each other and I build these concepts into the curriculum (Teen Leadership). Character education is another aspect of education that should be highlighted by the example of the faculty and staff.

There are other aspects to students learning that can be fostered. Extra-curricular activities must be used as a scaffold to learning in the classroom. It has been proven that students who are involved in their school are more apt to graduate and succeed in their future. From sports to National Honor Society to Yearbook to Drama, all extra-curricular activities must be supported and emphasized.  As we now have business partners on campus, weekly it is important that we provide opportunities for students to display their capacity. It is our jobs as leaders to find alternate ways to assess this work/talent and it is the most important aspect of what I do as the learning environment for students evolves.
